Here’s the answers to the questions we are asked most often by beginners.
How do I sign up?
All our classes are booked and paid for online using a credit or debit card. To complete your sign up you will need to complete a short health questionnaire. You can book a single class or buy a class bundle to get a discount. Visit our class schedule page for our upcoming classes.
What should I wear?
We would recommend gym clothes or loose-fitting clothing, whatever you are most comfortable in.
What equipment do I need?
All you need to start yoga is a mat. We would also recommend a yoga block or brick and a strap, which can be used to make poses more comfortable.
If you do not have mat, why not buy a BEEginner’s bundle? These packages include a mat, block and strap from the well-known brand YogaMatters.
Please bring your own equipment to our classes, as we are not currently offering equipment for hire.
What can I expect in your classes?
We start with some breathing to help your mind focus on the practice. We then warm up with some gentle movement and stretches. Next, we do a series of poses building up to a peak pose. Each class focuses on a different peak pose, which we explore in more detail and often practice different versions of the same pose. We then slow down the practice to counterbalance the peak pose, finishing the class with a short relaxation.
Our classes are open to all levels of yoga experience, and offer pose options. Our aim is to help you find positions that feel good in your body, and gradually increase muscle strength and flexibility.
